History

Over the years Hope Teams sent groups to build playgrounds, replace doors and windows, laundry facilities, dental clinics, dormitories, dining facilities, and even a barn! All of these were done with local laborers to improve the conditions that orphans were living in.

In Honduras, we are working with Proyecto Manuelito to provide shelter and long term living facilities for street kids there.  In Kenya, we participate with villagers in the construction of small homes for HIV/AIDS orphans and their adoptive families.  And we are anticipating projects elsewhere over the next few years.

Construction teams are always fun and always a challenge as we try to achieve a balance between first-world and third-world techniques.  The fellowship is fantastic with local laborers and the kids.
