The Children

It has been estimated that over 100 million children worldwide are abandoned, orphaned, or will sleep on the street tonight. Not all of them will wake up. Those who do face hunger, illness and disease, rejection and abuse.

We believe that it is our moral responsibility to step in and help. The way we help is to find like-minded people in other countries who are doing the job, and assisting them. We help and try to stay out of the way.

In Kenya, Calvince was orphaned at 13 and left with 4 siblings including a one-month old. Soon thereafter the baby died. Calvince left school with no means to support him or his siblings. For three years he broke rocks into gravel to help provide food. Shelter was an abandoned out building. Through sponsorships, he now is back in school and lives with his siblings in a new mud house. They are thriving.

In Honduras, Maricela lived on the street for years, begging for food and struggling with addictions. Through the sponsorship program, she was brought into the project and flourished. She has graduated from high school and is now attending college to become a teacher. She also spends several nights a week on the street working with kids that are in the same situation she was 6 years ago. She is becoming a leader and is even thinking about helping in Kenya!
